Founder and Director, Center for Analytical Research in Economics, 2019 - Present 

I founded CARE to facilitate research on people, markets, and societies based on scientifically rigorous arguments used in different fields in economics and related disciplines. Hallmarks of these arguments are their logical rigor based on derivations from clearly articulated axioms, and their careful, evidence-based evaluation. When used with due consideration for their limits, both have elevated the role of scientific inquiry in addressing societal welfare. The Center gives concrete form to my vision for the need of an expanded role for rigorous arguments in business, economic, and societal decision-making. 

The Center has taken over the organization of the spring Kansas Workshop in Economic Theory that I started in 2009 and persevered to organize and chair annually since then. This conference is widely praised in the profession as a premier workshop dedicated to nurturing junior faculty working on rigorous solutions to a variety of problems spanning different fields and disciplines. Moreover, CARE is leading the organization of two additional seminar series; one to increase inter-university research (Inter-university Colloquium series) and the other to increase inter-disciplinary research (Perspectives seminar series).
